WOW, it was really hard for me to narrow everything down. Out of over 100 entries, I only had 10 slots to give (ended up making more runner up positions because the competition was so fierce)! There were so many amazing entries, I really wish I had planned for more winning slots, LOL!
Oh well, lessons learned. I hope to run another contest in the future with some of the things I have learned now.
Some of the things I took into account when judging included-
- Technical Skill (lighting, shading, over all ability etc.)
- Creativity (scenario, outfits, etc.)
- Effort put into the piece
- Background and detail work
- The number of characters in the picture
- Accuracy of the characters portrayed
